The Octopus 760P™ series includes a range of highly portable, rugged and weather-proof acquisition systems for sidescan sonar and sub-bottom profiler.

Derived from the industry leading Octopus 760series geophysical acquisition system, the 760P is ideally suited to small boat operations for high quality data acquisition in a tough environment. Built into a rugged, water-proof case, the 760P is weather-proof and splash-proof during operation and is compatible with most sidescan systems, sub-bottom profilers, pingers, boomers, sparkers and chirp.

Incorporating a large high resolution display and the familiar splash-proof Octopus key-driven user interface, the 760P is very simple to use in demanding conditions. External water-proof connectors are provided for all inputs and outputs, allowing the system to be run with the lid shut and water-tight in extreme circumstances. In addition, splash-proof connectors are provided inside the lid for parallel printers, additional monitors and USB devices, where conditions allow. Powered from 12Vdc with an external 110-240Vac adapter, the Octopus 760P can be run directly from batteries, making it ideal for use on the smallest of boats.

The Octopus 760P is available in a variety of configurations including sidescan only, sub-bottom profiler only, user selectable sidescan or sub-bottom and simultaneous sidescan and sub-bottom. Additionally, it is available as a fully integrated sidescan sonar package with the CM2 dual frequency towfish.
